I've been thinking a lot about what the heck I'm going to photograph this week and so far haven't come up with anything. I just feel like everything has been done, and my biggest fear is that I will be shooting something cliche. I thought I would post this photo, taken with my digital last fall. I found this book lying as shown on the beach. I wish I ran across things this amazing everyday.

When I feel like this I look at Abe Morell's work. He was an inspiration before he was my teacher. Take note of the work under "other." The one of the paper bag is inspirational to me because he looked at it and thought to himself, "How can I make an interesting picture of a paper bag?" You can make an interesting picture of anything. Most of the time it's not the subject that is interesting but the way in which that subject was photographed.
